SUBSTITUTE ABE/GED INSTRUCTORS
 



CONTINUOUS RECRUITMENT
 

POSITION

Teaching reading, writing and math to adult students. Responsible for providing individualized and group instruction for adults having a wide range of skills and needs. Must be prepared to teach all basic skills areas including reading, writing, math, critical thinking, study skills, and GED test preparation. The instructor will work under the general supervision of the Dean of Basic Studies.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Ability to teach ABE/GED.
  2. Experience teaching adults.
  3. At least a Bachelor's Degree in education, adult education or related field.
  4. Strong oral and written communication skills.
  5. Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with students and staff.
COMPENSATION

Newly hired Substitute instructors are placed at Step A of the RTC scale (currently $37.41 per hour) Base pay increments for individuals with earned Master or PhD degrees from an accredited institutions. (Must submit official transcripts)
