Research and Development

The Office of Research and Development ( R&D) is a resource for College administrators, faculty, students, and the community. Our objective is to provide evidence and analysis to support College planning, decision-making, and accountability.

We provide a wide variety of services including: researching funding opportunities, developing database systems and analysis for funding and accountability; aligning outcomes and programs to strategic planning; developing action plans to implement strategic plans, designing and developing evaluations, deploying e-surveys; conducting statistical analysis and reporting; planning and implementing program evaluations; and supporting grant applications.

Renton Technical College is an Achieving the Dream College. As one of six Achieving the Dream colleges in Washington State, Research and Development is committed to promoting, developing tools and systems, and supporting student success and the growth of evidence-based decision making in community and technical colleges. Please see our Reports page for our latest developments in student retention.
