The Blue Green Alliance is a strategic initiative led by the United Steelworkers and the Sierra Club. Launched in 2006, the focus is on three key topics; global warming and clean energy, fair trade and reducing toxics.

Built Green, King and Snohomish Counties
Built Green is an environmentally-friendly, non-profit, residential building program of the Master Builders Association of King and Snohomish Counties, developed in partnership with King County, Snohomish County, and other agencies in Washington State.

Built Green Washington
BUILT GREEN Washington is a cooperative of Washington's regional green home building programs. It helps home builders and home buyers get the information needed to build and buy green. The site features a map that links to regional green building resources throughout the state.

Building Industry, Whatcom County
Built Green is an environmentally-friendly, non-profit, residential building program of the Building Industry Association of Whatcom County, developed in partnership with other agencies in Washington State.

King County Sustainable Building Topics

Sustainable Construction Publication
The Field Guide for Sustainable Construction is a joint project between PENREN and The Pennsylvania State University. It is intended to be a helpful, practical reference for construction personnel working on building sites. It guides decision-making that helps the project team achieve sustainable project goals for planned and ongoing projects.
