Daniel C. Aragon
Bio:
Dan Aragon has taught in the welding trade for the last 35 years. For 23 of
those years, Dan taught at Kent-Meridian High School full-time while also
teaching part-time at Renton Technical College two nights a week. During his
years at Kent-Meridian, he was the advisor for VICA (Vocational Industrial
Clubs of America); also within the welding trade. In addition, he was the
advisor for the Latino Club. He was instrumental in helping students in that
club to learn and perform traditional dances throughout the community.
Before his teaching career at Kent-Meridian and Renton Technical College, Dan
worked for Boeing (BOCAN) as their welding inspector. He also taught welding
for Boeing. While at Boeing he had the opportunity to work on the first space
shuttle. Prior to Boeing, Dan taught welding and welding manufacturing for
Seattle Opportunity Industrial Center (SOIC) and at that same time also taught
at Bellevue Community College.
