Jack Devine

Bio:
Jack Devine has been teaching automotive technology at Renton Technical College since 1986 and is currently the senior instructor in the Automotive Technology Department. Jack is the original instructor in the ITEC program and has served in that capacity since 1998. Prior to teaching the ITEC program Jack was the original instructor in our Ford ASSET program, was the original instructor in our MIDAS training program, and also taught the advanced training unit of the Comprehensive Automotive program.

Jack started his automotive career completing a structured Union Automotive Apprentice program. Past experience includes 14 years as a professional automotive technician in dealership and independent shop environments and 5 years as the owner of an independent automotive repair shop.

Jack is currently an ASE Certified Master Automotive Technician, ASE Certified Advanced Engine Performance Specialist and Washington State Department of Ecology Advanced Emission Specialist/Instructor.
