About Ask Washington Chat and Email Reference
Ask Washington is service that allows you to ask
reference questions 24 hours a day.
In
order to do this, RTC belongs to a national reference cooperative. This
means that you may be chatting with a librarian from another college.
Non-RTC
librarians cannot access your Library account. They will be able to help
you find out what resources are available to you as an RTC student.
If you
are having trouble accessing reference chat:

Check
your firewall. Place QuestionPoint or AskWA on your "trusted sites" list.

Make
sure you have "session cookies" enabled on your browser.

Consider using Internet Explorer, Firefox, or Netscape 4.79 when you chat.

Use the
chat controls - forward, back, refresh - rather than your browser buttons.
