1) Do I need tools?
Yes, you will need tools. However, you have an opportunity to buy tools at a substantial discount during the program.

2) How long is the program?
Two full years including a summer quarter for a total of 7 quarters. This is a closed entry program. Most students will enter in the Fall quarter only.

3) Are there any special requirements?
No, other than meeting a minimum age requirement of 18 years of age. Running Start students excluded from the age requirement (Check with Running Start Coordinator or high school counselor). Also, the student should exhibit a command of basic reading, math, writing and English skills. Of course, a passion for the automotive repair field is to be assumed!

4) Is this a promising career to enter?
Most certainly, with the future indicators demonstrating even a greater need for qualified technicians for an industry that is already experiencing shortages.
