Program Outcomes
Graduates of the Automotive Technology program will:
-
Have the necessary skills for entry into the automotive repair industry.

Have the ability to diagnose and successfully repair automotive, electrical and
mechanical systems.

Demonstrate proper use of the required tools and equipment necessary in this
trade.

Have the ability to access service and parts information via all industry
formats including printed, CD-ROM and the Internet.

Achieve Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Certification for working with
refrigerants.
-
Achieve a valid Industry CPR/First Aid card and will be aware of safety
precautions pertaining to the installation and operation of all products.

Understand and practice good customer communication skills.
-
Have a completed resume and the ability to properly present themselves during a
job interview.
-
Be prepared to take ASE examinations in the eight automotive specialty areas.
