Program Outcomes

Graduates of the Band Instrument Repair with Guitar Technology program will:

• Have enhanced communication skills in these areas: Scientific and technical report writing; presenting ideas professionally; listening to and advising customers; executing parts and supplies ordering
• Have enhanced problem-solving skills in these areas: Learning what questions to ask customers; analytical and critical evaluation of instruments; developing integrated solutions to repair problems; personal time management
• Be able to assess instrument playability in the following ways: Scientifically measuring the instrument; evaluating and assessing mechanism movement; designing preventive maintenance programs; developing instrument performance testing skills
• Be able to manage information in the following ways: Interacting with internet and web based technology; familiarity with instrument repair equipment readings; analyzing parts diagrams; transferring instrument evaluations to repair criteria
