Program Outcomes

Graduates of the Professional Baking program will:

  • Be able to work effectively in a professional baking environment, such as a retail bakery, specialty shops, in-store bakeries, hotels, restaurants, and other food related businesses.
  • Be able to interpret weights and measurements, calculate recipes, understand cost control, and inventory.
  • Have knowledge in applied math, communication and human relations, safety and sanitation, industry terminology, and interpersonal relationships.
  • Have knowledge in oven work, mixing and scaling, pies and pastries, cookies, doughnuts, and dough production.
