Program Outcomes

Graduates of the Cosmetology program will:

• Be prepared to take and pass the written and practical sections of the Washington State Cosmetology Licensing Exam.
• Be able to shampoo, cut, style, and do various chemical treatments on men’s and women’s hair.
• Be able to do manicuring, pedicuring, and basic skin care.
• Be able to meet industry standards for safety and disinfection as they perform cosmetology services.
• Be able to interact with customers, salon owners, and co-workers with professionalism and business ethics.
• Be able to demonstrate goal setting and time management skills.
• Be able to take on management responsibilities in a salon setting.
• Be able to do applied math, communications, and human relations as it relates to the cosmetology field.
• Be able to write a resume, cover letter, and job application, and prepare in a job interview.
