Admission Requirements
-
Minimum age: 18 years at the time of the first internship.
-
Must take the COMPASS or ASSET test before entering the program or being placed
on the pre-registration list.
-
Able to meet the admission requirements of Renton Technical College and the
sponsoring repair facility.
-
Sponsored by an automotive repair facility.
-
Hold and maintain a valid driver’s license.
-
Insurable to school requirements (good driving record).
-
Completion of MATH 075 with a 2.0 GPA or higher, or equivalent score on the
COMPASS test.
Admission Recommendations
-
High school diploma or GED.

High school level classes in math, science, power or auto mechanics.
-
Counselor and instructor interview.
