Industrial Engineering
This program is designed so students can enroll for mornings, afternoons, or
evenings to better fit their work schedule. Instruction areas include
electrical; refrigeration; boiler operations; basic welding, brazing and pipe
sweating; programmable logic controls; and mechanical maintenance. Students
learn to maintain, troubleshoot and repair equipment for industrial
environments such as bakeries, breweries, and candy companies. An emphasis is
placed on practical experience and hands-on training whenever possible. This
program is a recognized "School of Technology" by the City of Seattle in their
Steam Engineer and Boiler Fireman License Law. This program offers several
industry certifications as well as an Industrial Engineering certificate or an
Associate of Applied Science degree in Industrial Engineering.
