Program Outcomes
Graduates of the Office Support Specialist program will be able to:

Possess the skills needed to secure and maintain entry-level employment in a
variety of entry-level office support positions.

Understand and practice professional work habits expected in the business
world, including confidentiality and business ethics.

Achieve an industry-level proficiency in keyboarding and word processing.

Demonstrate proficiency in the use of computer hardware and the Windows
operating system.

Perform those basic office tasks and procedures that are typical in entry-level
office support positions, including reception and standard filing practices.

Research business and employment information via printed materials, electronic
media, and the Internet.

Demonstrate the ability to communicate orally and in writing at a level
necessary for successful employment in the office support field.

Demonstrate the business math skills essential to employment in an entry-level
office support position.

Possess a commitment to diversity and enhanced employability through the
understanding and practice of human relations and teamwork skills.

Demonstrate the ability to research employment opportunities, prepare an
effective employment package, including resume, and present oneself positively
in a job interview.
