WorkFirst funds can pay for tuition, books and fees. Tools and supplies for a
class are not covered.
WorkFirst funds are designed for courses/programs that are one quarter only or
part-time.
WorkFirst funds may also be used in situations where a student is awaiting
notification of acceptance for Financial Aid for programs longer than one
quarter. These funds are a short-term source of financial aid. Therefore, it is
required to apply for PELL and State Needs grants if your program is full-time
and longer than one quarter (360 hours).
