Renton Technical College is preparing for our summer Graduation Ceremony. We have chosen Thursday, August 12, at 7:00 p.m. to honor all graduates. The Ceremony will be held at
The ShoWare Center in downtown Kent located at 625 W. James Street, Kent, WA 98032.

In order to participate in graduation, you will need to contact your instructor to ensure you have met all program requirements. If your program requirements have been met you will need to obtain and complete either the Degree Application form or the Certificate Application form located at the registration desk or online.

Graduation will be a cap and gown affair. If you are eligible to attend graduation you will need to purchase a cap and gown from the RTC bookstore from July 9th to August 12th. Bookstore hours are Monday, 7:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. and Tuesday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. The cost of the cap, gown and tassel is $23.27 per student and they are yours to keep. The college gives each graduate four free announcements and those may be picked up from the Student Services desk. Additional announcements are available at the bookstore in packets of four for $2.75.

We will have a special seating for the graduates and ask that you arrive at 6:15 p.m. and go to the room designated for graduates only. RTC staff will organize the procession from this room to the seating reserved for graduates. Any guests you invite will not need a ticket to attend and are asked to go directly to the designated seating area for guests.
