Our staff is here to assist students through the whole job seeking process. The Student Success Center provides the following services and resources:

Job postings: Students are encouraged to look for jobs to begin or change their careers.  If you are a current student or alumni of RTC you are encouraged to register with Career Services Online by going to: https://www.myinterfase.com/rtc/student/.  It only takes a few minutes to register.  You can post your resume and your information will be available to hundreds of employers.

Job search assistance: You can learn about resumes, filling out applications, interviewing and the job search.

Mock Interviews: You can schedule a time for a brief mock interview to improve your ability to present yourself in the best possible way. Call 425.235.2352 x 7785 to schedule an appointment.

Workshops: The Center provides workshops on Resume Preparation, Cover and Thank You Letters, Filling out Applications, Job Search and Interviewing

Computers with internet access and assistive technology are available. A fax and phones are also available.

Additionally, you can set an appointment to work with the Placement Coordinator who can help you. To ensure that you get the most out of your appointment; please bring the following in Word format:

  • Up-to-date contact information
    • Address
    • Phone number
    • Email address
  • Resume or draft
  • Cover letter or draft
  • Thank you letter or draft

If you are just beginning to work on your resume, please be sure to come prepared with the following information:

  • Work History: Include dates of employment, name and location of business
  • Education: Include certification/diploma/degree information
  • Special Skills: Include ethical skills i.e. reliability, good attendance, etc
  • Objective, Profile, or Target Job

Please note that you will be creating your job readiness documents, not the coordinator. Learning how to create a resume now is a tool you can use throughout your career. Please remember to bring a disk or flash drive to save your work.
