The CCE acts as the state-level construction education intermediary for local and regional businesses, workforce development councils, and policy makers. We connect industry trends to cutting edge products and services, in order to meet the diverse workforce needs of business – now and in the future.

  • The Construction Center of Excellence website, featuring research, resources, media, event calendar, speakers bureau and downloadable products

  • Creation, distribution, and free download of the 12-minute video "Green Building: Jobs of the Future" to provide a dynamic informational and recruitment tool to highlight the "greenness" of Washington State's construction industry and how sustainability and energy efficiency is already shaping the future of the industry

  • A database of statewide construction training options, connecting employers to local colleges and apprenticeships

  • The CCE works with industry, government, labor, non-profit, professional associations, and workforce development agencies to identify and define the current green building skills gap in the construction workforce and to meet that need by offering green building workshops, lectures, and training throughout the state

  • Partner with KIRO TV's long running "Building for a Lifetime" construction industry promotion campaign to highlight local training programs, industry leaders, professional organizations, and to increase community awareness of the Construction Center of Excellence's role as an industry resource hub
