offers Associate of Applied Science degrees and Certificates of Completion in
both full-time and part-time programs and is a partner with several agencies
that provide training to individuals to help meet employer needs. Customized
and on-site training classes can be designed to accommodate your business
needs.
Full-time and Part-time programs
Renton Technical College has over 47 technical and vocational programs that
specialize in training, retraining and skills upgrading. Members of business
and industry advise each program, keeping our curriculum current and relevant,
and providing our students with the specific skills employers are seeking.

Continuing Education classes
Provide employees with new skills or upgrade current skills with our
professional development and career advancement classes. These classes are
offered at convenient times to help accommodate the working student and for
shorter periods of time. Some classes are offered on-line.

Adult Basic Education and ESL
Adult Basic Education instruction is for adults who seek to brush-up on the
basic skills of reading, writing, math and oral communications, and other
skills needed to perform their job. English as a Second Language (ESL) classes
are available or instruction can be integrated into workforce curriculum. For

Business Training Centers
Business Training Centers are a partnership between local employers, the
community’s chamber of commerce, the city and RTC. Employees can attend
training classes or employers can bring on-site customized training to their
employees. The Centers also provide economic development assistance directed at

Downtown Employment Learning Center – (1511 3rd Ave, Suite 200,
Seattle)
Renton Technical College and community organizations formed a partnership to
service the Seattle downtown area. The purpose of the center is to give people
the skills employers are looking for, as well as provide a resource for
employers to upgrade their employee’s current skills. For information call

Working professionals bring expertise and experience to the programs at Renton
