RENTON, Wash. – Renton Technical College is pleased to announce it is now a designated ASE or Automotive Service Excellence testing location.

“RTC has one of the oldest automotive repair training programs in the state. Over the years, we’ve trained many generations of automotive professionals. ASE testing is one of the most recognized symbols of quality in the automotive industry and we’re pleased to be a resource to the industry in yet another meaningful way,” said Gary Neil, a long-time faculty member and instructor in the college’s ITEC program.

Candidates must register through the ASE website to take any of the ASE certification tests. Candidates are then assigned a unique number, after which the individual may make an appointment at the RTC Testing Center. Fees are paid directly to ASE. There are no additional fees to RTC for testing.

The RTC Testing Center is located at 3000 NE 4th St., Renton, Charles DeMoss Building J-218. The building is wheelchair accessible. Parking is free. Pencils, calculator, and scratch paper are provided.

An approved photo ID is required for all testers. Testing is done on the computer and test results are available when the test is completed.
