Renton Technical College is currently retooling its aerospace program to offer students an affordable and fast way to enter the field of aerospace manufacturing.

Faculty and staff have created a new curriculum for the Aerospace & Industrial Production Technologies program, and we are awaiting approval from the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities. If all goes as planned, we could start teaching students as early as winter quarter 2017.

If you are interested in this program, please call our counseling office at (425) 235-2352. A counselor can explain your options and get your contact information so we can notify you when the program is ready to accept students.

When the program becomes available, it will require an important sequence of courses to ensure that students succeed. These courses are also applicable to many of our certificate and degree programs, so they are a good investment even if you need to pursue other options at the college.

Below is the list of courses:

COL 101 – College Success
MTEC 102 – Introduction to Aerospace Manufacturing
MTEC 171 – Communications I
MTEC 172 –  Communications II
MTEC 173 – Communications III
MTEC 185 –  Human Relations
MTEC 224 –  Machining Math Essentials
MTEC 220  –  Hazardous Materials

To register for any of these courses, visit RTC.edu or call (425) 235-2352.
