Renton Technical College will continue to run our two current cohorts of nursing students as usual. However, RTC has made the decision not to bring in a fall 2016 cohort of associate degree nursing students.

The primary reasons for this decision are to use this opportunity to focus on:

  • Strengthening the nursing program by updating our curriculum, mentoring our faculty and pursuing national accreditation.
  • Ensuring program sustainability by investigating alternative clinical venues for enhanced student experiences.
  • Structuring a more formalized plan for student success by reviewing and revising our policies and protocols.

The next admission opportunity for students into the RTC associate degree nursing program will be spring 2017 (contingent upon approval from the Nursing Commission).

The RTC nursing program page will be updated with more information as it becomes available.
