Renton Technical College’s Allied Health program is now offering a course this fall designed to give students a preview of careers in the health care industry.
The new Allied Health 101 course offers an introduction to health care delivery systems, basic medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, computer and study skills. Students will learn about the requirements and career prospects for nurses, medical assistants and other high-demand careers in health care.
The course runs this fall quarter on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, with a choice of 8-10 a.m., or 7-9 p.m. sections.
