A graduate of the community and technical college system who has broad administrative experience is the new vice president for administration and finance at Renton Technical College. Eduardo Rodriguez assumed his new role Feb. 1.
Rodriguez joins RTC from Columbia Basin College in Pasco, where he served as assistant vice president for administrative operations and budget director. He earned an AAS in electronic and system technology and a BAS in business management from CBC and his MBA from WGU-Washington.
“Eduardo’s strong background in finance and budgeting is complemented by his experience in IT and organizational change management,” President Kevin McCarthy said. “His long commitment to the mission of our system and knowledge of system finances will be an immense benefit to the college.”
In addition to his budget acumen, he brings strong leadership skills, strong initiative, a focus on employee development and a commitment to establishing relationships across campus, McCarthy said.
“I am thrilled to join our Renton community and look forward to working with everyone at RTC in providing career and educational opportunities for the benefit of our community members and economy,” Rodriguez said.
