An Extraordinary Evening with Renowned Chef John Howie

For over four decades, Chef John Howie's goal has remained unchanged: Create memorable dining experiences that bring people together. What defines Pacific Northwest cuisine has been undeniably shaped by his influence and commitment to genuine hospitality and what he calls, “The love of making foods that wow people!”

He is founder of one of the region’s most respected restaurant groups including the marquee John Howie Steak and award-winning Seastar Restaurant & Raw Bar. Recognized nationally by the James Beard Foundation for his leadership and innovation, Chef Howie has put mentorship, community and philanthropy at the heart of his work, having raised millions of dollars for local charities.

Now he’s bringing that inspiration and sumptuous dining experience to Renton Technical College at the 2026 Celebrity Chef Thursday, Nov. 12, from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

This is one hot reservation, and you don’t want to miss this exceptional fine dining experience to support RTC’s culinary students.

Your evening includes:

  • Reception and appetizers
  • Silent auction
  • Four-course dinner in RTC’s Showcase Kitchen with 48 guests
  • Wine pairing by Sommelier Jeff Lindsay-Thorsen, owner of WT Vinters and Gorgiste wineries.
  • Signed John Howie Cookbook

The generosity of Chef Howie, our sponsors, and Sommelier Jeff Lindsay-Thorsen, mean all proceeds from the dinner go directly to culinary scholarships and program support.
