Handshake has been implemented as Career Services platform for our campus. All Renton Technical College students and alumni have free access to Handshake. CHIPS (Computer Help & Information Protection Support)

CHIPS is a student led program that is currently under consideration of closure. Availability may be limited.

CHIPS does not provide or purchase parts.

Services CHIPS offers:

• Software upgrades
• Computer performance boost

If you are looking for an inexpensive refurbished laptop or desktop computer, we recommend checking out 3R Technology’s Tech Access Program or PCs for People.

The LRCC Food Pantry and Clothing Closet

The LRCC Food Pantry provides an ever-changing variety of both perishable and non-perishable foods and hygiene products for students in need. Two grocery bags per student per day. Some high demand items are kept behind the front desk – ask the Front Desk staff for assistance with getting these items.

Stop by the LRCC for a quick snack or a bag of groceries and hygiene products.

Clothing Closet 

Dress with confidence for your next opportunity. The LRCC Clothing Closet provides students with access to free, work-ready and interview-ready clothing to help you feel prepared for interviews, internships, career fairs, and the workplace. 

Donations

We kindly accept food donations of perishable or non-perishable, non-expired items. You can drop off food items at the LRCC in Building C Room 102, or ship non-perishable items to:

We welcome donations of new or gently used, clean, professionally appropriate clothing. Stop by the LRCC to drop off your donations. 

Please note: We do not accept exercise clothing, pajamas, or children’s clothing. 

You can also contribute by fulfilling our Amazon wish list. Financial contributions allow us more flexibility to purchase the items our students need/want. Visit the RTC Foundation donation page to make a donation toward the RTC Food Pantry.

Tutoring Services

Need help with a class or assignment? RTC offers free tutoring options designed to fit your schedule. Connect with an LRCC tutor in person or via Zoom for support with math, English, accounting, basic studies/HS21+, computer apps, Canvas, digital literacy, and more. Need help outside LRCC tutoring hours? Tutor.com provides additional online tutoring support and is available directly through your RTC Canvas account. 

Whether you prefer face-to-face support, Zoom, or online tutoring on your own schedule, help is available when you need it.

Located in office C-104, inside of the LRCC, is the Renton Technical College Raven's NEST. Raven's NEST can assist students who are looking for help with basic needs access including applying for food benefits, on and off campus financial assistance, and referrals to campus and community resources and more.
